I had been wondering if I could blend uncooked beetroot in my new Vitamix and I decided last night that I was going to do it.
I teamed the beetroot up with frozen blueberries and some mango juice that I had in the fridge.
Wow I’m addicted! It was spectacular.
The perks of this smoothie are numerous but beetroot’s ability to lower blood pressure whilst increasing blood flow has to be mentioned! Studies have linked the regular consumption of beetroot with slowing the rate of dementia. It tastes delicious too so why not partake?!
2 small beets (raw and peeled)
1 cup frozen or fresh berries
3 cups mango or orange juice
Blend and enjoy!
