I wasn’t sure if this one would get past the fussy test this morning but I’m happy to say it did! Chlorella is full of vit D and a potent detoxifier.
To help my son with ARFID, I started out giving him just banana peanut butter smoothies, with flavourless or vanilla protein powder until he accepted that. Then I added in other things slowly. Remove computer time if you have to because the long term damage from a lack of diversity in the gut is worse than the tantrums we suffer now. I know how hard it is.
My approach is based on educating his tastebuds without his knowledge. So even though he has no idea he is drinking kale, on some level his taste buds are experiencing it. It’s working with him accepting other foods more readily. We are not out of the water by a long shot, but small steps added up make progress possible.
- 2 ripe mangos or 2 cups frozen mango
- 1 avocado
- 2 scoops Amazonia Raw Protein powder
- 1 large handful spinach
- 1 tbsp flax seeds
- 4 dates
- 2 tsp raw Manuka honey
