I woke up starving this morning and had luckily soaked some almonds overnight. I lay in bed wondering what to make for breakfast with my almond milk and let my imagination and hunger fuel my ideas!  This is what happened. 

I decided on quinoa and amaranth super grain porridge. 

  • 1 cup quinoa amaranth mix
  • 2 cups water
  • Boil then simmer until the water evaporates.

I added 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tbsp maple syrup.

Add almond milk or any other milk to this just to cover it, don’t drown it, then simmer to thicken. 

Meanwhile I emptied my fruit bowl to make a chia jam. I found 1 mango and 3 kiwi fruit. I blended these.

  • 1 mango
  • 3 kiwi fruit
  • 1 tsp macha powder
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp aloe vera juice

Then I mixed up a tahini sauce.

  • 1 tbsp black tahini
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

I toasted some macadamias in a little sesame oil.

For sprinkles I used white and black sesame seeds and some beetroot powder.
