Turmeric Smoothie

Turmeric is well known to be effective against inflammation, but did you know that to absorb it, you need to have some fat and some black pepper in the mix?

Here’s a morning smoothie with all 3, that also has flax for a decent dose of omega 3.


Serves 2:

4 cups of any non dairy milk

2 tsp coconut oil or coconut butter

2 tbsp flax seeds

1 large banana

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp ground turmeric 

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/8 tsp black pepper

Blend well in a blender
